Outdoors - Photography in the Landscape
Kendal Parish Church of the Holy Trinity after Dark.
Whether you want to benefit from an intensive session of one-to-one tuition, or to take advantage of the more relaxed setting of a day out in the company of a small group of like-minded enthusiasts, the most important thing on offer from Glenn Bennett is hands-on photography in the outdoors.
I have been a teacher of Photography, in and around the Lake District, for over twenty years. So I know my way round - where the good walks are, what are the likely photographs to be found, when to expect good lighting and how to exploit it. Whatever your expectations, from a gentle stroll around Kendal after dark, to a mountain walk to photograph the sunset, I can help to improve your photography in the optimum setting.
Barbon Church and Rowan.
Kendal is ideally placed between the Lake District proper, the Yorkshire Dales, the Eden Valley and the North Pennines. It provides an ideal base from which to explore the world of landscape photography.

Whatever your particular field of interest, you need only inform me about which aspect of your photography that you wish to develop, and there will be a location, or an event, or a season that will allow you to do just that. Whether it be architecture, old churches, tumbling water, mountain crags, or sports and activities, the country around Kendal is crammed with opportunity.
Please bear in mind that this website is still under development. When finished, there will be a regular programme of organised events and activities, as well as the option to arrange bespoke photography days tailored to your precise requirements. For the time being, though, if you want a practical day out with your camera, use the e-mail address or phone number at the top of the page to get in touch, and let me know what you want to do and when you want to do it. Don't be shy. If you don't like walking, we will stay close to home. If you don't mind walking, we can go further afield. It doesn't matter what camera you use: compact or SLR, digital or film. If you want to improve your photography, let me know.
Please make sure that you read the information in the right-hand column about clothing and equipment recommendations. A complete kit list can be supplied on request, along with advice on clothing and camera equipment appropriate to seasonal circumstances. If you have any questions at all, please ask - there is no penalty for asking.
